The Ministry of Defense (MOD) will spend more than 1 billion pounds Sterling to develop technology in order to accelerate decisions on the battlefield.
Funding will be one of the results of the long -awaited government strategic examination of the government which is expected to be published on Monday.

Announcing the results of the exam, the MOD said that a new digital targeting web would better connect soldiers to the ground with key information provided by satellites, planes and drones helping them target enemy threats more quickly.
Defense Secretary John Healey said the technology announced in the journal – which will exploit artificial intelligence (AI) and software – also highlights the lessons learned from the war in Ukraine.
Ukraine already uses AI and software to accelerate the identification process, then hit Russian military targets.
The revision had been commissioned by the newly formed labor government shortly after Election of last year With Healey describing it as the “first of the genre”.
The government said the results would be published in the first half of 2025, but had not given an exact date.
Healey made this announcement during a visit to the Cyber Situal du Mod in Corsham, Wiltshire.

Healey said it showed that the nature of the war was changing.
“The keyboard is now a weapon of war and we answer it,” he said.
He said the United Kingdom was to be the fastest army in the NATO alliance.
As part of the strategic defense examination, the military cyber-operations of the United Kingdom will be supervised by a new cyber and electromagnetic command.
The MOD declared that the command would also take the lead in the electronic war, coordination efforts to intercept all opponent communications, to scrambling drones.
Healey said additional investment was possible due to the government’s “historic commitment” to increase defense expenses to 2.5% of GDP by 2027.
However, NATO secretary general, Mark Rutte, asks allies to increase defense expenses by more than 3.5% of GDP.
