- Google solves a problem which affects the installation of updates of the reading system on the devices running Android 16.
- The company claims to have identified the problem and solve it with an update update.
- The problem also affected our Pixel 9A in the course of execution Android 16, and many others also pointed out the problem on other pixel phones.
I have been dealing with an update problem on my Pixel 9A in the course of execution Android 16 for weeks, and it turns out that I am not the only one. For some time now, I have not been able to successfully install new updates from the Google Play system. Whenever I tapped the update button, the phone detected an update available and I started installing it. However, halfway through the process, the installation would stop suddenly and display an error message “Update failure”.
At the beginning, I pushed it back as a problem with a specific update of the reading system. But just when I envisaged a complete reset of the factory, I discovered that many others The execution of the Android 16 or Android 16 QPR versions knew the same problem.
Fortunately, Google has recognized the problem and takes action.
In A new assistance articleGoogle says that it is aware of a problem that prevents certain Android 16 and Android 16 beta devices from installing the last update of the Google Play system. (If you don’t know where to find this, go to Settings> Security and confidentiality> System and updates> Update of the Google Play system.))
The good news is that Google says that it is not necessary to reset the factory of your phone. A fix has been identified and will be included in a next update to the Google Play system.
Hopefully this means that the problem will be solved soon, and we can finally install the updates of the reading system again. I look particularly impatiently the improvements included in the recent July updates.
