From the fall of 2025, the UTEP will offer the Master of Arts in Education with an artificial intelligence concentration.
The first program of the genre in the United States, designed to train educators to use AI tools to improve teaching, rationalize class tasks and personalize student learning.

The courses include foundations of generative AI, ethics, culture and society in the AI era and data science for education professionals.
“The teaching of educators to use AI practical will make them more effective and will release the time to focus on students,” said Kosheleva.
The program does not require GRE and is open to students with a first cycle diploma. Graduates will be prepared for careers in the development of programs, school leadership, educational policy, etc.
“This program reflects the mission of the UTEP to direct both innovation and access,” said Clifton Tanabe, Ph.D., dean of the College of Education.
