Apple sending a recall of safeguarding the date for its Keynote WWDC 2025 on June 9, it is enough to realize that we are only a few weeks from our first preview of iOS 19 in the form of an overview during the annual conference of developers. And these figures are greater iPhone software than most.
According to all accounts, Apple provides a major overhaul of the appearance of its iPhone software with iOS 19, marking the most important change at the interface from iOS 7.
Change can be disturbing, but it can also be exciting. And even if we only have rumors to do for the moment, these are the potential changes of iOS 19 which I want to know more about the moment when Apple shows the iOS update this year next month.
A new look for iOS 19
I like to compare the operating system updates to reorganize the furniture in your home. You want changes that improve the flow of the room, and not those that make you trip on the pouf.
Given the chatter around iOS 19, there is a risk that it can have more of the latter type of change, because it seems that Apple really mixes things with this update. It is not necessarily a bad thing, since the objective is to make the software operate apparently on your phone, tablet and Mac as a more transparent experience. As a very submerged person in the apples ecosystem of products, I should benefit from it, even if there are some increasing pain.
And according to the appearance of the iOS 19 concepts that have surfaced in recent months, iOS 19 will take some time to get used to it. Although there is a dispute on the accuracy of these screens reflecting what Apple plans to go out, we could be in a big leap from iOS 18 to iOS 19.
I admit that it is difficult for me to understand the head around interface changes until they are on a phone screen in front of me, but so far, two potential updates of the iOS 19 interface stand out – the moved search bar and the translucent control panels.
In iOS 18, when you want to search for something in an application such as messages, music or settings, you will find the search bar near the top of the screen. But Jon Prosser on Front Page Tech published iOS 19 models with the search bar at the bottom.
This decision would make sense, because it picks up the search bar where you are already doing most of your entry, which facilitates the operation of your iPhone in one hand. It would also correspond to a movement that Apple made a few ioses ago which put the search bar in Safari at the bottom of the screen.
The rumor of translucent menus also comes from prosser models, in particular from the camera application. The menus for camera commands seem translucent, which frees up more space for the viewer of view on the iPhone screen.
What I like about in these two rumor changes is that they would make the iPhone more natural and practical. These are the kinds of interface improvements that I hope to see in iOS 19, not just change for change.
Ai Heath Coaching
I use my iPhone to follow my steps and how much I move every day – it really helped me take care of my health thanks to a mixture of gamification and statistics that show my slow and regular progress over time.
But, a boy, is the stupid fitness application.
Here is an example. Fitness application likes to send reminders every day, encouraging me to achieve my daily moving goal. Hey, fairly – each motivation helps. But last month, on a family vacation, I spent a day moving further and longer than ever before – we are talking about a dozen kilometers in one day.
The response of the fitness application? A notification the next morning pressing me again today.
It is not particularly encouraging, and it does not seem to recognize the concept of rest days. I would like to see how Apple takes care of health and physical form on its mobile devices is more refined.
And I could get my wish in iOS 19. It would seem that Apple is working on an AI health coaching function for the software update which will be able to formulate more personalized recommendations on the means of strengthening your health; There may also be a food follow -up component. It seems that the Health Coach functionality is based on data collected from an Apple Watch – a disappointment for me because I am not a compliance holder. But I will be interested in seeing if this feature, if it is part of the iOS 19 update, can lead to generic exhortations to do more exercise.
New iPhone amenities
iOS 19 could make other improvements that we will file in the category of improved convenience. To start, there are reports that iOS 19 will ration the connection process to Wi-Fi networks by remembering the details that you fill the first time you connect to a network and share them on your many Apple devices. In this way, you don’t have to go through the same rigamarole each time you join this network.
Another convenience booster, it fueled by AI, would improve battery management on your iPhone. Depending on the reports, the functionality would bring user data into the use of the iPhone to determine the applications that may have priority. This would save energy, helping your phone last longer.
The two seem to me to be beautiful additions, and I hope that Apple does not stop there. If I had to launch my phone application now and press the recent tab, I would see that eight of the last 10 calls for my number have been robocalles and spammers. The Send to Voicemail function on iOS does a good job by banishing some of these calls in the country of wind and ghosts, but I would like to see Apple develop something like the Google call function, where a digital assistant can give spammeurs the tramp rush, without my never to get involved.
A smarter siri
Stop me if you’ve heard that, but iOS 19 will give Siri a youthful treatment in AI, so that the digital assistant on your iPhone is not only smarter, but more proactive, because he will be able to recognize what is on the screen of your phone and act on her. This is part of Siri’s consciousness more aware of your context, so that its recommendations are more personalized and its more proactive behavior.
Oh, wait – you’ve heard it already. You heard it when we did a year ago with the IOS 18 overview, in fact.
Well, obviously, this did not happen with Apple grateful that the Siri whip in shape required more work than it had planned. But apparently, iOS 19 will be the liberation which will finally make Siri evolving towards a more AI future, even if this does not happen at the precise moment that a complete iOS 19 version is ready in the fall.
I can’t wait to see if Apple provides a more final roadmap for SIRI improvements – I think it owes iPhone users as much after its iOS 18 overview has more or less suggested that these modifications still to obtain have been concluded. And as WWDC 2025 is a conference of developers, I would like to know more about the challenges that Apple is faced with the update of Siri and the way it plans to overcome them.
A global update of Apple Intelligence
This year’s Keynote WWDC will mark the first anniversary of Apple Intelligence’s initial overview of Apps, which we learned from WWDC 2024 before its deployment with the iOS 18.1 update in the fall. It is fair to say that it was a year of peaks and valleys for Apple’s IA efforts, even beyond the delay with SIRI improvements.
The fact is that apart from a few remarkable examples – I am a fan of the functionality of the summaries by e -mail and the visual intelligence was a good addition – the first features of Apple’s intelligence were not the game changers. I never turn to the tools of writing assistant, and after the first explorations of things like the movies of memory and the playground of images, I go long stretches without ever opening these applications.
However, I want here about Act II for Apple Intelligence, which apparently implies Apple to integrate AI into more applications on the iPhone. It is also understood that new developer tools will allow applications for applications to incorporate their own AI features.
Apple will find it difficult to catch up with the more polished AI features than Google and Samsung include on their phones. But the WWDC 2025 and the IOS 19 overview will be an opportunity for the company to detail how it will try to fill this gap.
