The important objective of Google I / S was, obviously, on the AI, but Android 16 was also a large part of the event thanks to the release of the first beta QPR1 with the expressive overhaul of the equipment 3. What do you think so far?

It was not a secret for anyone that Android 16 obtained a overhaul thanks to floating -divulted constructions, but the mystery was long when it was going to make its debut thanks to very disappointing beta outings for the first launch of Android 16. The curtain was finally lifted during the Android program last week and, this week, Google finally published the first buildings which actually contain these new changes.
I use Android 16 QPR1 Beta 1 on my Pixel 9 Pro Fold since the release of Tuesday, and it goes very well. The construction is stable within reasonable limits, and the visual bugs are minimal given the size of an update. There is an ill -aligned text in the notifications, the applications that try to take advantage of the camera seem unstable in some cases, and I noticed that the notifications will occasionally go in the opposite direction when they are slipped. But, apart from this and the lifespan of the battery, it was a good experience so far.
Aesthetically, I am a big fan of the new design. Expressive equipment 3 looks like you: the rest. The design language does not really look like anything else, but always feels very familiar. In addition, it opens the door to Google incorporating more features, such as the wallpaper “effects” which are super cool, but for which I have not yet found the right subject.
Google has found an impressive balance, and the platform itself looks like the beginning.
But what do you think of the overhaul of Android 16 so far?
I have the feeling that this design will be polarizing among pixel fans, so where did you? Let’s be discussed in the comments below.
