Apple’s annual world annual conference (WWDC) is fast approaching, which should take place between June 9 and 13, and as always, the buzz is strong. This year, the spotlights are firmly on iOS 19 – or what could really be called iOS 26. Yes, Apple could modify its name of denomination to correspond to the calendar year, which makes things easier to follow all its platforms. The company will not be the first to do so – Samsung did something similar when it went from Galaxy S10 to S20 in 2020.
The new slogan for WWDC 2025 – Sleek Peek – refers to a strong accent on design, which aligns with rumors of a major visual overhaul from Apple operating systems. We expect large updates to iOS, iPados, MacOS, Watchos and Visionos – with some of the biggest changes considered to be inspired by the design language of the Vision Pro.
iOS 26
The biggest change of iOS this year may not only be his name. According to Mark Gurman from Bloomberg, iOS 26 should provide the most notable design upgrade since iOS 7. The interface is likely to take strongly from Visionos, with rounded icons, floating menus and more translucent layers for a cleaner and modern sensation. Messages, Apple music and other stock applications could also see layout adjustments – such as inappropriate search bars and more to breathe between content.
In addition to visual changes, iOS 26 could also obtain more in -depth IA integration. This is a question that Apple improves Siri to be more natural and more aware of the context. Users could even be able to choose their favorite assistant. The Health application is also for new well-being tools, including food monitoring and fitness content in video format. And a new battery optimization system could help users extract more life from their devices by learning their habits over time.
iPados 26
Ipados generally follow the traces of iOS, and this year does not seem different. Expect a similar appearance, with redesigned icons, user-friendly navigation and a more fluid interface overall. Apple seems to focus on carrying out transitions between Mac and iPad more transparent. The multitasking being the key for iPad users, smoother animations and more reactive application switching would be a welcome touch.
MacOS 26
For Mac users, the next big update could be called MacOS Tahoe – although Apple has not yet confirmed the name. The update is likely to take up some of the same design themes as iOS and iPados, including refreshing icons, translucent windows and a lighter menu style. Apple has long appointed the macOS versions after the benchmarks of California, and Tahoe is one of the names he has already placed. Functionally, the MacOS 26 could tighten integration with iPhones and iPads, which facilitates work on devices without interruption.
Watchos 26
Apple Watch’s experience should not obtain a complete overhaul this year, but it will probably adopt parts of the new design language – such as subtle transparency, smoother animations and updated button forms. There is also buzz around smarter features to come on Watchos 26, powered by a light version of the Apple AI system.
The WWDC 2025 could be one of the most focused events on the design that Apple has organized for years. We will know more when the keynote starts on June 9. Stay listening to India Today Tech for all the last people on WWDC 2025.
