Apple is expected to organize its annual summer software event, WWDC, next week at its Apple Park headquarters in Cupertino, California. Cnet will be there to bring you all the news as it happens, including our first impressions of iOS 19. And you can watch the event online anywhere in the world.
Apple has already revealed the programming of its developer conference, which should take place from June 9 to 13, with a mixture of online and in person sessions. The company has planned a special event for the first day, from which it will disseminate its speech and its speech on the state of the Union.
This is the point of the year when Apple traditionally reveals major software updates, including the latest versions of iOS, iPados and Watchos, for iPhone, iPad and Apple Watch, respectively. How to watch wwdc
The Keynote of June 9 should take place at 10 am PT and will detail “the revolutionary updates to come on the Apple platforms”, according to A press release. During the speech, we expect to see the company announcing its plans for iOS 19 and other software updates on iPad, Mac, Apple Watch and Apple TV.
The platforms State of the Union will take place on the same day at 1 pm PT, offering “a deeper dive in the new macOS, TVOS, Visionos and Watchos tools”.

WWDC is a conference for developers that create the applications we use on our Apple devices, from our iPhones to our MacBooks, to find out more about the new tools and features they can take advantage of this year. However, the event also draws significant attention beyond the developer community, because it tells us everything we need to know about what to expect the next generation of software updates that will come to our devices.
The online event is free for all developers, and whoever is curious can connect to Apple Keynote. But those who want to attend the June 9 event at Apple Park in person must online. In the days that followed, students and developers will assist the sessions where they can engage more deeply with the modifications of Apple platforms, which will allow them to ensure that their applications are fully compatible and that they take advantage of these changes.

What to expect at WWDC 2025
If we believe rumors, Apple operating systems are ready for a spectacular design overhaul this year. According to Bloomberg, iOS 19, iPados 19 and MacOS 16 will all present new icons and menus, which will also change the way our devices are controlled and navigated. The objective would be to create a more consistent style on all the platforms reminiscent of Visionos, the operating system designed for the mixed reality headset.
But that’s not all – Apple will probably use WWDC to describe the progress it is made in the field of AI. “I can’t wait to see more details on Apple Intelligence and the new features that will be available,” said Francisco Jeronimo, vice-president of devices at IDC. “This is essential for Apple because Google Gemini and Android suppliers have taken important steps with their AI offers.”
Last year at WWDC 2024, Apple announced iOS 18 and Apple Intelligence – as well as Siri updates which have not yet materialized.
It is very unlikely that Apple has locked Apple to unveil any material during this event, although rumors warm up on new generation airports and a possible iPhone 17 air. If this is true, they are more likely to come later in the year.
