Wwdc (Global Developer Conference) 2025 will take place from June 9 and Apple should introduce a multitude of new features and updates to its devices. Two new updates shared by the initiate of the Mark Gurman industry in its newsletter power on the iOS keyboard and the Apple pencil.
Apple has invested in the increase in its presence in the United Arab Emirates and Saudi Arabia, and therefore wants to let its keyboard switch between English and Arabic as easily as possible. Unfortunately, the other complaints according to which Apple users have – such as automatic correction and certain quality of life features – are still not treated.
The Apple Pencil will receive an update to support calligraphy on the iPad to allow users to also write in the Arabic script. These two movements should, in theory, help the popularity of Apple’s devices in countries where Arabic is the official language.
The apple should reduce the WWDC this year compared to last year’s event, where the company introduced Apple Intelligence. Apple Intelligence has become a major error in the company, and I doubt that managers want a rehearsal of the consequences of WWDC 2024. The employees have recently revealed Why Apple Intelligence failed and said that the company was not going to announce incomplete features.
In addition to the Arab updates of the iOS keyboard and Apple pencil, WWDC 2025 will also show changes to the company’s software in general. Apple operating systems for its phones and tablets – iOS and iPados – will start to look much more Visionos. THE Apple Vision Pro may not have been a commercial success, but its design of the user interface is what the company wants on all its devices.
There are some other exciting changes which will also be announced at WWDC in June. Apple Intelligence to optimize battery life, a New interface for iPad, Wi-Fi synchronization, and Vision Pro scrolls using eye monitoring to name only a few. Optimization of the battery supplied by AI would be absolutely necessary for the next Air iPhone 17.
Some improvements and additions to Apple Intelligence are also expected, but I doubt that there will be a lot of substance there. Apple could announce its plans to bring the flagship model of Google AI Gemini at the iPhone, an approach adopted by Samsung for its Galaxy S25 phones. However, this year’s event will probably be much more moderate.
