Xiaomi officially announced Hyperos 3.0 based on Android 16 for its phones and has given a list of devices eligible for beta tests. It is important to note that the announcement was for the Chinese market, so certain features may vary, and the exit dates will probably also be different.
The new Hyperos 3.0 brings a slight visual overhaul with new icons, a new status bar and the addition of Super Island. In addition, 3.0 also offers IA capacity improvements and adjustments under the cap for improved performance.
The Super Island function is very similar to the dynamic island on iOS. It seems to provide you with contextual information on real-time application activities, appointments, reservations, media reading controls, etc. The only difference is that the Super Island on Hyperos remains active in the notification panel.
The new operating system also obtains new fresh icons that are more simplistic and with a similar iOS style. Xiaomi also gives you an adjustable domestic grid and a renovated status bar.
Xiaomi has presented a new redesigned numbering application, but this could only refer to the Chinese market because the Chinese version of the ROM uses a native telephone application, while the global and European ROMs use the Google telephone application.
Like Oppo and OnePlus, Xiaomi gives you a way to connect with iPhones, iPads and Macs and transfers data in a transparent manner.
Xiaomi has shared a list of devices eligible for the Beta Hyperos 3.0 program, as well as version dates. The Hyperos 3.0 stable version is expected to arrive during the fourth quarter of this year.
