With the first public beta IOS 26 now available, we can finally dive more deeply in some of the latest features of this next update of the operating system. As a user of the first day of Apple music, I am still impatient with new features on the musical streaming application. Unfortunately, they are still locked behind the major iOS updates.
However, Apple has made a big year for Apple Music, because it has at least seven exciting features launched alongside these new updates of the operating system. From the Apple Music application redesigned on the Mac to the translation of words and the pronunciation features of the words available in Apple Music Sing of TVOS 26, Apple continues to offer one of the best music streaming services on the market.
However, there was an important characteristic of which the company did not speak during the Keynote WWDC 2025, but it has become my favorite addition since I started testing iOS 26. This feature is the possibility of pinning my favorite songs.
Pins are Apple Music’s star in iOS 26
If you constantly replay your favorite music, the possibility of pinning songs and albums will change the game for you in iOS 26. With this feature, you can pin up to six different albums, reading lists, songs, artists or radio stations at the top of your Apple Music library. For example, I listened to Lucio Corsi Album “BREVO ESSERE UN DURO” in rehearsal. Instead of looking for it every time, now I can just press the album that I pinned at the top of the application and immediately start listening to “you sei Il Mattino”, the first song.
However, when I feel more adventurous, I will go to my “plus” playlist, which has a randomized collection of my favorite tunes. By tapping it, Apple Music mixes the list and I can start listening without having additional measures. It’s as simple as that. To start using the pin function on your own iPhone, simply follow the steps below:
- In your Apple Music library, Long Press a Song, album, artist or playlist and Tap Pin album.
- Once it is pinned, press the album again, then choose A Tap Action: Go to album, Play or Shuffle.
- To denigrate one of your pins, press the icon for a long time and select this option.
The pins will reflect on all the devices you have that support Apple Music, including your iPhone, iPad, Mac, Apple TV, Apple Watch and Apple Vision Pro. Bgr has even more advice and tricks to help you master your iPhone.
