YouTube announced on Wednesday a new tool that will allow advertisers to use Google Gemini AI model to target announcements to viewers when they are most committed to a video.

The artificial intelligence function, called “peak points”, identifies the moments when videos receive high levels of attention and packages of ads to place after these moments. Peak Points has the potential to allow more printing and a higher click rate on YouTube, a primary metric that determines how creators earn money on the video platform.

Peak Points uses Gemini Ai by Google to find the most committed moment to place an ad.

YouTube said that the AI model is formed by analyzing video elements such as frames and transcriptions. Peak Points is currently in a pilot program and will take place during the rest of the year.

The video service announced rush points at its Youtube Brandcast event in New York. In addition to peak points, YouTube made other announcements for advertisers. With the peak points, Google takes another step in the monetization of AI at a time when many in Silicon Valley prioritize the products compared to the products.
