  • YouTube deploys its redesigned user interface for the YouTube TV application on Android TVS.
  • The new visual changes include pause / curriculum vitae centered controls and separate pill buttons for several interface elements.

In April, when YouTube was 20 years old, Google announced a multitude of features, including the possibility of creating your own view with non -sporting content, a 4x reading speed, etc. Google has also promised that YouTube TV will soon obtain an “viewing upgrade”, with a new user interface for easier navigation and rationalized access to comments, channel information, etc. These changes would take place in summer, and now, this new YouTube TV user interface takes place on Android TV.

I don’t want to miss the best of Android authority?

I received the new user interface from YouTube TV on my Sony Android TV (43x8000h) performing Android TV 10. This new user interface is almost the same as Google had teased in sound announcement.

The new YouTube television user interface is completely a gap compared to the old user interface for the TV application. The Pause / CV button takes the front of the stage, and the rest of the icons are found in their own capsule buttons to give the interface a “floating” appearance, similar to what we have spotted for the YouTube web user interface. The subscription button is transformed into a Bell icon for the channels to which you are already subscribed.

Google says that the update brings reading and quality adjustments, but I have not particularly noticed any modifications. The new interface also rations access to comments, canal information and subscription. I cannot comment on what is new with these areas of the user interface, because I have practically never accessed comments or even video descriptions on my TV. I shared the screenshots above so that youtube television users can tell us what has changed in the comments.
