With the next version of iOS, Apple should offer lists for playing ambient music directly in the control center, each organized for a different mood. By default, it will give access to four categories – productivity, well -being, cooling and sleep – but users can customize it to allow access to any Apple Music reading list.
For those who have an Apple Music subscription, this feature will be delivered with additional advantages. The subscribers will have a total control on the played pieces, allowing them to jump songs, choose specific songs and save their favorite songs in personalized reading lists.
However, even without subscription, users can always take advantage of functionality, Apple algorithms selecting and playing the most appropriate tracks according to the chosen mood.
Currently, this feature is available in beta mode, allowing users to test its features and offer comments before its full version. It should be officially deployed in April 2025 with the release of iOS 18.4.
This update should include other major modifications in Apple devices, many of which involve new features for Apple Intelligence. For example, Apple Intelligence will now be able to determine which notifications are the most important and display them in a separate section of the lock screen, so only the most relevant notifications pass.
Apple also recently published the new PowerBeats Pro 2, after its first generation release in 2019. These sports headphones are designed to offer ten hours of battery life and have an active noise cancellation. They are also the first Apple headphones capable of monitoring the carrier’s heart rate, a useful feature for any sportsman wishing to follow his progress.
