Nicholson spent the 2023-24 season on loan at Clermont from Spartak Moscowbut before moving on to France‘s the elite, the 27 years old his career began in his native Jamaica. The Clermont striker played Trench Town High School during his youth career.

Nicholson his impressive performances in Europe have earned him a regular call-up to the Jamaican national team since 2017 and he made 42 appearances and scored 11 goals for the team.
