Free Palestine Eugene protesters disrupt traffic on I-5 and one lane is reopened


Our reporters on scene say the I-5 area is described as chaotic after a group of about 50 people, representing Eugene Free Palestine, marched onto the highway and completely blocked traffic, according to police. the order.

Oregon State Police and the Lane County Sheriff’s Office are on scene, according to authorities. Protesters marched onto I-5 from Harlow Road around 10 a.m. Law enforcement officials believe similar events like this are happening around the world.

The Oregon Department of Transportation (ODOT) reports that all lanes of southbound Interstate 5 were closed at the intersection with Eugene – Springfield Highway I-105, due to pedestrians protesting on the highway .
