Justin Timberlake was arrested for drunk driving in Long Island, New York.
A representative for the Sag Harbor Police Department told PEOPLE that as of the morning of Tuesday, June 18, the 43-year-old singer was still in custody. Police will issue a statement later today.
PEOPLE has reached out to a representative for Timberlake for comment.
Although police have not confirmed the charges to PEOPLE, a source says the “Selfish” hitmaker was arrested for DWI after dining at the American Hotel in Sag Harbor. He was arrested as he left the establishment to drive to his friend’s house.
“No one was injured,” said the source. “He will be arraigned in about an hour.”

Timberlake is currently on tour promoting his latest album, Everything I thought. The Forget Tomorrow World Tour is next scheduled to play at Chicago’s United Center on June 21-22, before heading to New York’s Madison Square Garden on June 25-26.
Tour dates continue in the United States through July 9, before Timberlake takes the show overseas for an extensive European tour through the rest of the summer and into the fall. He plans to return to North America for additional dates, beginning October 7 at the Barclay Center in Brooklyn, New York. Shows are expected to conclude by December 20
On Sunday, June 16, Timberlake celebrated Father’s Day by writing a heartfelt tribute on Instagram to his sons Silas, 9, and Phineas, 3, whom he shares with wife Jessica Biel.
Calling the boys “his two greatest gifts,” he thanked them both “for giving me my greatest purpose.”
“I learn more about myself every day because you both chose me to be your daddy,” Timberlake wrote. “I will always be there for you through your peaks and valleys…to lift you up and show you how far you can take this life and to pick you up when you fall. And, of course, to shower you with jokes from unbearable dad all the way.”
“I love you both so much,” he said.
