Suri Cruise proudly wears her new identity. The daughter of Katie Holmes and Tom Cruise stepped out in New York City on Tuesday, May 14, looking casual in baggy pants, sweatpants and a t-shirt.
In the first photos since her new name was revealed, Suri was the spitting image of her mother with her long brunette locks hanging loose and looking lost in thought.
She walked the streets of the Big Apple with her denim coat draped over her arm and absorbed in what was playing through her headphones.
Her release comes days after it was revealed that Suri had dropped her last name – at least when it comes to performing on stage.
Suri made a subtle but noticeable statement about her identity during a performance of Crazy in Love in New York in early May.
The show’s cast revealed that the 18-year-old adopted her mother’s middle name and was named Suri Noelle.. The rising star’s birth certificate simply named her Suri Cruise.
Perhaps it’s no surprise that Suri is leaning more into who her mother is, as she has reportedly been estranged from her famous father since she was little.
