Palantir deploys its first two systems compatible with artificial intelligence in the American army, society announced on Friday.
According to Palantir, the tactical targeting of intelligence intelligence is a targeting of access nodes, or Titan, acts as a mobile field station that operates AI to collect data from space sensors to help soldiers with war strategy and improve targeting and precision of strikes, according to Palantir.
The president and chief of technology Akash Jain described the agreement as “jumping” for the American army because he makes a big investment in software during an interview with Morgan Brennan of CNBC.
Palantir won the $ 178 million contract last March, defeating the competitor and the defense giant RTX Corp. He has marked a key step for the company known for its data analysis and software services, as well as the first time that a software company has been working as a main entrepreneur for an important hardware program.
The company has long provided solutions to the United States government and defense agencies, showing growth of 45% over the year in this last quarter segment. The agreement with Palantant also highlights the changing landscape of the use of software on the battlefield. Earlier this week, Scale IA announced an agreement with the Ministry of Defense for a flagship program of AI agents.
The agreement includes a total of 10 titan systems. Each system includes an advanced system with two larger trucks and a basic system with two vehicles delivered on five delivery orders, said Jain. The systems allow soldiers to make an intelligence decision without requiring the cloud, putting “all this power in the back of a truck,” he added.
Palantir has also united his strengths with Northrop Grumman,, L3harris And Palmer Luckey founded the Defense Technological Startup and industries and industries on certain capacity of the program.
The news of Palantir occurs during a volatile period to the frontrunner S&P 500 2024. Actions lost more than a quarter of their value in the last month, while the feeling of risk strikes Wall Street and the Bourvinant technological sector. Last month, shares jumped 24% to a record after the company declared solid profits and advice fueled by AI demand.
Palantant was one of the main beneficiaries of the rear winds of the AI who swept the industry and the larger market, jumping 340% last year. The CEO of the company, Alex Karp, was a vocal supporter to invest in the American technological sector to protect against adversaries.
In response to the sudden rush of Deepseek on the technological scene in January, Karp told Sara Eisen from CNBC that the United States needed an “effort of any country” to protect American innovation from stolen and improper use.
Jain told CNBC that Palantant has exploited soldiers’ comments while operating to deliver systems in time and budget.
