Pulisic discusses his season results and the clash against Cagliari: “Not easy”

Ahead of AC Milan’s match against Cagliari this evening, Christian Pulisic spoke to the media and shared his thoughts on the task at hand. He was also asked about his season as an individual, with plenty of numbers to show for it.

The American has 13 goals and 9 assists for Milan this season (in all competitions), certainly bouncing back after a very difficult campaign with Chelsea last season. Arriving for just 20 million euros plus bonuses, the Rossoneri are indeed very happy with the signing.

Before today’s match against Cagliari, in which he will start as a left winger, Pulisic shared his thoughts on the tough clash in an interview with MilanTV (via SemperMilan). He also agreed that this could go down as his best season ever.

It will be a difficult match against Cagliari, who are fighting for salvation…

“You said it, it’s not going to be easy. Of course, they are also fighting and so they will be motivated to win today. We need to put in a good performance at home and hopefully we can win the game.

Is this the best season of your career?

“It’s difficult to say, from a statistical point of view, maybe you can say it, but I’m really enjoying this season with this new team. I have had a lot of opportunities to play here and show my qualities, above all I enjoy my football.

Rafael Leao and Theo Hernandez are both on the bench today and that hasn’t happened before this season, with at least one still starting. It’s a clear signal from Stefano Pioli who wants his team to bounce back after a difficult month.
