Last week, pop star Dua Lipa lit up Studio 8H as Saturday Night LiveMay 4 host and musical guest Lipa performed “Illusion” and “Happy For You” by her Radical optimism album and starred in hilarious sketches, including an unexpected homage to a certain pasta dish.
“It’s just the most incredible experience I’ve ever had. It’s been such an exciting journey,” the “Houdini” singer told WNBC’s Adam Kuperstein as she prepared for the big evening.
Lipa’s episode was the first since Ryan Gosling’s highly successful third stint as host, which featured a sketch so popular that Gosling and Mikey Day resurrected the characters on The guy who falls just in time premiere red carpet. Overall, it’s been a fantastic 49th season for the long-running sketch series – and there are only two episodes left!
