‘Rahul Gandhi should open a gym, Shashi Tharoor should…’: Rajeev Chandrasekhar’s suggestion to Congress leaders after election results | News from India

NEW DELHI: A few hours before the announcement of Lok Sabha Election 2024 results, Union minister Rajeev Chandrasekhar suggested new careers for congressional leaders Rahul Gandhi And Shashi Tharoorhis rival in the Thiruvananthapuram seat.
On the Congress’s rejection of the poll results which predict a comfortable majority for the BJP-led NDA, “the Congress party has many members who are very fluent in the language and speak very eloquently and I think these elections will direct them towards a new occupation. the minister told news agency ANI.
Propose new professions for Congressional leaders after the Lok Sabha results, Chandrasekhar said, “Rahul Gandhi should open a gymnasium. Shashi Tharoor should set up an English training institute.
“The people of India want political leaders who serve them, who can improve their lives and certainly, this group of people, whether it’s Rahul Gandhi or anyone else, cannot do the business,” he added.
Congress’ Shashi Tharoor had earlier rejected the poll results and cited party president Mallikarjun Kharge’s claim that the INDIA bloc would get more than 295 seats.
The senior leader, who is the Congress-led UDF’s candidate for Thiruvananthapuram, said he and his party were quite relaxed ahead of Tuesday’s counting, and once again expressed confidence that he would emerge victorious from here for the fourth time in a row.
“We view them (the exit poll results) with skepticism and disbelief. We also campaigned across the country. We also have a sense of the pulse of the population, and we don’t think that is reflected accurately in this survey,” Tharoor, who is also a member of the Congress Working Committee, said.
If an exit poll had indicated that the BJP could win seven seats in Kerala, then either they are suffering from heat stroke or they don’t know the state.
“Some of these exit polls are laughable for other reasons too: they say there are five seats in a particular state, but the BJP is going to win six,” he said, tackling exit predictions from various agencies.
Rahul Gandhi also dismissed the exit numbers, calling them “fantasy polls.”
“This is not an exit poll, it is a media poll of Modi. This is his fancy poll,” the Congress leader told reporters after meeting the party’s Lok Sabha MPs through video conferencing . Asked how many seats the INDIA alliance would get, Gandhi replied: “Have you heard the song ‘295’ by Sidhu Moose Wala? So 295 (seats).”
The results of the 18th Lok Sabha elections 2024 will be declared on June 4.
